     Creativity in the classroom is one of my favorite things to encourage my students to do. When my students can be creative and showcase their learning through their creativity, I usually see a different side of them. I believe that creativity assists in creating a thriving learning environment. New technology is developed daily, and in recent years a lot of the technology has been geared towards academics. COVID has made schools re-think their expenses and budget more money towards technology. Many schools now have one device per student.  An e-portfolio, also known as an electronic portfolio or digital portfolio, is an online platform that holds a collection of artifacts. The collection may include electronic documents, hyperlinks, and multimedia such as images, audio, and video. The student or owner of the e-portfolio is no longer limited to only what can be put down on paper. An affordance to digital portfolios is accessibility from anywhere with internet access through an electronic device, including a smartphone that never leaves our side. An online portfolio is asynchronous, which is an affordance because multiple people can glance at it at once or at their own time.   I understand that for specific purposes, assessments such as standardized tests are necessary. I find myself continually reading blogs of random things I am in search of. I have always found it incredible to have a question, type it into Google, and get beneficial results. Many of the best results I get are blogs. There are blogs for absolutely everything and anything you can imagine. My most common questions usually come down to health, dogs, traveling, and education. Though not everything out there is 100% accurate, I am amazed how many times I have gotten advice from a medical professional through a blog, even if the advice was to seek a doctor.  People use blogs in multiple ways. Some may use it as an online journal, while others want to connect with the rest of the world regarding a specific topic. A blog becomes a live document where people worldwide can interact through discussions, comments, feedback, advice, questions, and answers.  The best thing I can compare it to is a group text message.
